International Freight Train “Dunhuang Express” Inaugural

On November 21, the first “Dunhuang Express” (Dunhuang-Tianjin Port-Thailand) international freight train, loaded with 1,000 tons of asbestos, departed from the comprehensive freight yard of Dunhuang Railway West Station in Gansu Province. The train will pass through Tianjin Port to reach Bangkok, Thailand via rail-sea intermodal transport. This train is the fourth asbestos freight train from Dunhuang, following the inauguration of the China-Laos Railway (Dunhuang-Vientiane-Bangkok) international freight train in 2022, the “Dunhuang-Qinzhou Port-Indonesia” asbestos freight train on the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, and the inauguration of the “Dunhuang-Ningbo-Bangkok” rail-sea intermodal asbestos freight train in May 2023.
